GOP Probes Holder’s Tenure in Clinton Administration

A group of Republican senators are pressing for more information about Attorney General-designate Eric Holder’s in the Clinton administration.

The senators have asked President Bill Clinton’s presidential library and the Justice Department to release documents about Holder’s tenure as deputy attorney general. The GOP group, which includes Sen. Arlen Specter (Pa.), the ranking Republican on the Judiciary Committee, is specifically looking for more information about Holder’s role in scandals during the Clinton administration, including the Elian Gonzales case, the pardon of Mark Rich and the Whitewater investigation.
