Bidens to Stuff Stockings for Troops

Vice President-elect Joe Biden and his wife will work tonight to stuff care packages and holiday stockings for soldiers stationed overseas, the Obama-Biden transition team said Monday.

The Bidens will volunteer at a “Stockings for Soldiers” event this evening in Delaware. The program, sponsored by Operation Support Our Troops, hopes to stuff 5,000 personalized stockings for troops stationed overseas.

The vice president-elect’s son Beau, the Attorney General of Delaware, is set to ship off to Iraq in coming weeks, where he will spend a year.
