Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) is so busy trying to “show up” Roland Burris that he’s become a better Senator, according to a Burris adviser.
In an interview with WJJG radio, Delmarie Cobb said Durbin has continually scrambled to outshine the controversial Burris.
Cobb said that while Durbin’s had previously been a “do-nothing” senator, he’s now “so busy trying to show Roland up that he’s suddenly running all over town at ribbon cutting and ground breaking.”
When asked if Durbin was really trying to use Roland’s problems to boost his profile, Cobb responded, “Oh, that’s exactly what it is.”
Mr. Durbin, what say you?
