Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) will appear on Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report” next month in a pre-taped message, the GOP governor said Friday.
On her Twitter page, Palin announced she’d make a cameo on the satirical news show, known for skewering lawmakers and sending-up bombastic conservative television hosts.

A number of politicians have been tripped up by Colbert before, so much so that then-Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) Chairman Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.) warned freshman Democrats to avoid the show.
Colbert has been teasing the upcoming visit to the Middle East in recent shows, alluding to the destination but not revealing the final destination, citing security concerns. Per Palin, that destination is in Iraq.
