Embattled Sen. Roland Burris (D-Ill.) plans to attend President Barack Obama’s address to a joint session of Congress Tuesday night, MSNBC is reporting.
Burris, who continues to endure numerous calls for his resignation, will return to D.C. on Tuesday. The Senate Ethics Committee has begun a preliminary inquiry into Burris’ apparent contradictory statements but Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said Monday that he will try to work with Burris.
