Fosella in jail
Former Rep. Vito Fossella (R-N.Y.) is currently serving part of his five-day sentence for driving under the influence this weekend.
Fossella is serving his sentence in a Virginia jail after dropping his appeal of a drunk driving conviction earlier this month.
Fossella is serving his sentence this weekend, and will conclude it next weekend, NY1 reported Saturday.
The time served will end a longstanding ordeal for Fossella, who admitted an extramarital affair and fathering an illegitimate child before retiring from Congress.
