Seating Chart for Obama’s Meeting on the Economy

Below is the seating chart for President-elect Barack Obama’s meeting on Friday with his transition economic advisers.

The chart shows Obama sitting close to two candidates for Treasury Secretary, former Fed chairman Paul Volcker and former Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers. Former Labor Secretary Robert Reich and ex-Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin, who represented the two warring wings of Democratic economic theory during the 1990s, sat a bit further away.

Interestingly, the meeting room in the Chicago Hilton and Towers resembled the room for Cabinet meetings in the White House.
