Dozens of Republicans sign on to currency ban

Rep. Michele Bachmann’s (R-MN) legislation to ban U.S. recognition of a global currency has gained 29 co-sponsors in the House.

All Republicans, co-sponsors include a number of prominent conservatives. Among the supporters are former presidential candidate Ron Paul (R-TX), Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX), Rep. Zach Wamp (R-TN), and Rep. Tom Price (R-GA), the chairman of the conservative Republican Study Committee. The legislation has been referred to the House Judiciary Committee.
