Feinstein Wants to Hotline Scalping Bill

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) is seeking to “hotline” her bill to punish those caught scalping inauguration tickets, working to garner support for a voice vote on the Senate floor.

Feinstein, who chairs the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, introduced the bill today.

“The inauguration of the president is one of the most important rituals of our democracy,” Feinstein said The chance to witness this event should not be bought and sold like tickets to a football game,
