Tina Fey Surprises New York Democrats

Tina Fey, the world’s most famous impersonator of Gov. Sarah Palin (R-Alaska), made a surprise appearance at a meeting of New York state Democrats on Thursday.

State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver didn’t tell his fellow Democrats that Fey would show. He only said that he planned to bring a special guest, reports The New York Observer.

“When he did bring in the special guest, he said it was the first time he had ever brought in a Republican,” Assemblyman Mark Schroeder said.

The meeting also had another special guest: former Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin, who talked to the Democrats about the economy.
