Congressman Saxton’s Retirement: A True Loss to His District (Rep. Rob Andrews)

It has been a true privilege and honor serving with Congressman Jim Saxton over the past 17 years in the House of Representatives. Congressman Saxton has been the perfect example of what being a “Representative

Throughout his career Congressman Saxton has been instrumental in protecting the servicemen and women stationed at several military bases in New Jersey, and his unwavering dedication to military families further demonstrates his respect for our nation’s armed forces. After the widely covered Fort Dix terror plot which was foiled this past May, Congressman Saxton took the lead on drafting legislation that would improve security at U.S. military installations. I was fortunate enough to work with Jim in drafting this legislation, which drastically improves security measures at military bases around the country.

Congressman Saxton has proven himself as a genuine bi-partisan advocate for the residents of Burlington, Ocean and Camden County over the past two decades, and his retirement is a true loss to his district. I wish Congressman Saxton the very best in his health and retirement, and wish him luck in all of his future endeavors
