At its core, the Farm Bill takes great steps towards making sure our country has a safe, affordable and abundant food supply, but the farm bill encompasses much more than the name suggests. From rural infrastructure assistance to the energy initiatives covered in the re-authorization of the Sun Grant program, this bill puts American farmers in the vanguard of technology and innovation. And, we’ve paid for it by cutting subsidies to the wealthiest farmers, so we can get some help back to the rural communities that need it the most.
