Yesterday’s vote on Attorney General Alberto Gonzales was a disappointing political stunt by the Democratic leader to embarrass the Attorney General and the President.
It is very disappointing that the Majority Leader would cut off debate on the important immigration issue to waste valuable time to stage this non-binding vote on a procedural motion that did not even garner the necessary votes to allow the resolution to be brought to the floor of the Senate. I hope that we can get back to the serious issues the American people sent us to Washington to address.
