“Natural Born Citizen” Must Be Further Defined (Rep. David Davis)

This immigration legislation (H.R. 1940) would define what group of individuals born in the United States are considered natural born. It would limit natural born citizenship to children born where at least one parent is a citizen of the United States, an alien lawfully admitted unto the United States, or an alien performing active service in the United States armed forces.

Under this bill, children born to two illegal aliens would no longer be considered natural born citizens. There is no greater issue on the minds of the people of the First District of Tennessee.
