The Senate Budget Committee will hold a hearing Wednesday to examine President Obama’s 2015 budget.
Republicans are expected to blast Obama for not including major entitlement reforms, while Democrats will praise his calls for increased infrastructure spending.
{mosads}Office of Management and Budget Director Sylvia Mathews Burwell will testify before the Budget Committee and defend the administration’s priorities.
On the same day, Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew will defend the president’s budget before the Senate Finance Committee.
On Wednesday, Secretary of Defense Charles Hagel and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey will also defend their proposed Pentagon budget — which drastically reduced troop levels — to the Senate Armed Services Committee.
