IRS commissioner to testify on missing Lerner emails

Internal Revenue Service Commissioner John Koskinen will testify before the House Oversight Committee on Monday at 7 p.m. about the missing Lois Lerner emails in response to a subpoena.

The IRS has said that the a hard drive crash resulted in the loss of nearly two years’ worth of Lois Lerner’s emails from January 2009 to April 2011. But Republicans argue the agency’s claim is an excuse to hide emails critical to their probe of improper scrutiny of conservative nonprofits applying for tax-exempt status.
