Panel to hold hearings next week on Secret Service, DC Metro
The House Oversight Committee will convene hearings next week on the state of the Secret Service and D.C. Metro system.
Acting Secret Service Director Joseph Clancy will appear before the House Oversight Committee on Thursday to discuss reforms to the agency in light of White House security incidents last fall.
{mosads}The House Oversight Committee will also conduct a hearing Friday morning on the D.C. Metro system a month after an accident in a tunnel near the L’Enfant Plaza Metro Station that resulted in one death and dozens of others being sent to the hospital.
On Wednesday, the House Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on three immigration bills regarding the treatment of unaccompanied children crossing the border. One of the measures would expedite deportations of the children unless they are victims of human trafficking or fear returning to their home countries.
