Gov. Quinn fact-checks Romney-Ryan
Media outlets following his speech at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla., last week corrected Ryan on statements made about President Obama’s Affordable Care Act hurting Medicare.
{mosads}“Then there is Medicare,” Quinn said. “Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan want to take away the promise that is Medicare … it offers vouchers and then tells seniors they’re on their own for the rest … that didn’t stop them from telling the American people that their plan won’t hurt seniors and President Obama’s plan will help seniors and Medicare.”
AARP has endorsed Obama’s plan over Romney and Ryan’s.
Quinn also said Romney is running away from his record as governor of Massachusetts because he failed.
“[Mitt Romney] promised Massachusetts three things: more jobs, less debt and smaller government,” Quinn said. “He didn’t do it then and he won’t do it now.”
