Monday: NDAA

The Senate will debate an annual defense bill on Monday.

The Senate is expected to convene at 3 p.m. for leader remarks, before restarting debate on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) around 4 p.m.

{mosads}Senators have filed hundreds of amendments to the annual policy bill, though no roll call votes are expected on Monday.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said last week that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) wants to finish work on the bill by the end of this week.

The bill, which sets broad policy and spending guidelines for the Pentagon, has garnered a veto threat from the White House.

The House is not in session Monday.
