Reid: GOP is backing off O-Care

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said Republicans are “desperate” to change their tune, now focusing on the Benghazi terrorist attack instead of ObamaCare ahead of November’s election.

“It’s been several weeks since we’ve had a vote in the House on repealing ObamaCare,” Reid said on the Senate floor Tuesday. “They’re getting desperate for something to change their tune. Benghazi is one thing they’re focusing on. Who knows what it will be next?”

{mosads}Reid cited a Hill article, which reported that Republican are shifting their political strategy as the White House receives good news about the ObamaCare enrollment efforts.

Reid said Republicans are simply “throwing things to the wall hoping it will stick” when it comes to attacks against Democrats.

Senate Republican could take control of the Senate after the midterm elections. Several vulnerable Democrats are seeking reelection in tough states.

Republicans have recently called for investigations into the White House’s handling of a Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya. Democrats say it’s a political ploy ahead of the election since public support have increased for ObamaCare — something the GOP used to rally the base in previous elections.
