Nicolle Wallace, who served as communications director for former President George W. Bush, is taking a seat on “The View,” snagging one of the co-host slots that was up for grabs.

Wallace, who also worked as a senior aide to then-vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin during Sen. John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) 2008 White House bid, will join the ABC talk show when it makes its season debut on Sep. 15.

{mosads}ABC confirmed a Deadline.com report in a Wednesday night news release that Wallace will join fellow new co-host Rosie Perez, along with “View” vets Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg.

Wallace and Perez were plucked for co-hosting duties of the ABC chatfest after Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy were booted from the program earlier this year.

“I’m honored to join the tradition of compelling conversations that has been the signature of ‘The View’ for the better part of two decades,” Wallace said in a statement. “I have watched ‘The View’ for many years and now to be seated alongside three women that I have admired is both humbling and incredibly exciting.”
