Dingell, 88, has ‘party animal’ hopes dashed

He snagged the title of “Wisest” House member in Washingtonian magazine’s “Best & Worst of Congress” list, but Rep. John Dingell says he was actually eyeing victory as Congress’s biggest reveler.

The retiring Michigan Democrat, 88, tweeted on Monday:

{mosads}Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.) claimed the “Party Animal” honors in the annual survey of Capitol Hill staffers released on Sunday.

Among the other winners: Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) was named the biggest “Gym Rat” in the Senate, Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) took the “Funniest” title in the House, Sen. Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.) and Rep. Lois Capps (D-Calif.) topped the list for “Nicest” lawmakers, while Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.) and Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) were bestowed with the “Meanest” title.
