Tom Cotton to ‘SNL’: I’m as tall as The Rock
Sen. Tom Cotton wants “Saturday Night Live” to know: make fun all you like, but he’s a tall man.
Cast member Kyle Mooney, who is listed on IMDb as 5’7″, portrayed the Arkansas Republican in the cold opener on the most recent episode of the longrunning sketch comedy show. In the skit, wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson reprised his role as President Obama’s Hulk-like alter ego, “The Rock Obama.”
Cotton took to Twitter on Monday and wrote to his more than 25,000 followers:
Hey @nbcsnl, clever skit, but for the record, I'm the same height as @therock.

Johnson is said to be 6’5”.
{mosads}“I’ve been in Washington three months and I think I understand foreign policy better than you,” the fictional Cotton tells the president, played by Jay Pharoah, in a meeting at the White House, adding, “And unrelated — I heard your Final Four bracket is totally busted.”
The insults hurled by the faux Cotton, as well as cast members playing Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) make “SNL’s” Obama so angry, he transforms into the beefy, lawmaker-tossing “The Rock Obama.”
“You like writing letter?” Johnson’s character asks the fictional Cotton, referring to a message GOP senators sent Iranian leaders regarding nuclear negotiations.
“How you write letter with no hand?” the “Furious 7” star adds, before he rips off Cotton’s hand and tosses it away.
