If the suspense of wondering who NBA all-star Dennis Rodman was endorsing for president was keeping you up at night, rest easy: It’s Donald Trump.
“@realDonaldTrump has been a great friend for many years,” the controversial hall-of-famer tweeted Friday afternoon. “We don’t need another politician, we need a businessman like Mr. Trump! Trump 2016.”
Rodman — a two-time participant of Trump’s reality TV show “The Apprentice” — is most recently remembered for his curious friendship with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Trump famously praised Rodman’s visit to the hermit kingdom, calling the b-ball icon “sharp and smart.”
“Dennis is not a stupid guy,” Trump told Fox News in 2013. “He’s smart in many ways; he’s very streetwise.”
In response to Friday’s endorsement, Trump thanked Rodman, adding his newly adopted catchphrase, “it’s time to #MakeAmericaGreatAgain!”
