Sen. Claire McCaskill is providing photographic evidence to back up claims she knows how to shotgun a beer.
The Missouri Democrat tweeted Sunday:
Earlier this month, McCaskill had pledged she had proof that she learned to shotgun a beer the night that her opponent, then-Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.), won the 2012 GOP Senate primary.
In her just-released memoir, Plenty Ladylike, McCaskill wrote: “My daughters had to show me how to shotgun a beer.”
The 62-year-old lawmaker said, “You punch a hole in the side of a beer can while holding it horizontally. Then you invert the can upside down over your mouth and pull the aluminum tab.”
After a journalist demanded evidence, McCaskill cryptically tweeted to her more than 108,000 followers on Twitter, “Proof of me shotgunning the beer? Stay tuned.”
