NBC has reportedly ended its on-air suspension of Brian Williams.

{mosads}The former “NBC Nightly News” anchor and managing editor — who was suspended without pay after he admitted in February that a story he recounted several times about coming under enemy fire while aboard a helicopter in Iraq was false — will begin his new position as an MSNBC breaking news anchor next month, CNN Money reported Tuesday.

An MSNBC spokesperson confirmed to ITK that Williams will be rejoining the network sometime in September, indicating no firm date has been set.

“I am fully aware of the second chance I have been given. I don’t intend to squander it,” Williams told Matt Lauer on the “Today” show in June.

That same month, veteran reporter Lester Holt was named as the replacement anchor of “Nightly News.”
