Trump: No ‘Jeb impression’ on SNL — too boring

Donald Trump says don’t expect to see him do a Jeb Bush impersonation when he hosts “Saturday Night Live” this weekend — because it would be a total snoozefest.

“My Jeb impression?” Trump said, responding to a reporter’s question at a Tuesday press conference in New York to launch his latest book, “Crippled America: How to Make America Great Again.”

{mosads}“I don’t like to show a person sleeping at a podium,” Trump quipped, his latest shot at the former Florida governor’s energy level.

The real estate mogul says he’s “not too nervous” for his Nov. 7 guest hosting gig on NBC’s late-night sketch comedy show, adding that he’s prepping Tuesday afternoon with the show’s creator Lorne Michaels.

Trump’s upcoming appearance hasn’t been without controversy. In a Monday statement, members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus joined a chorus of those urging NBC to cancel Trump’s hosting invite because of the White House hopeful’s remarks about Mexicans.

“[T]he Congressional Hispanic Caucus urges NBCUniversal to stand by its earlier commitment to end its relationship with Mr. Trump because the values of ‘respect and dignity for all people’ are more important than ratings and ad revenues,” lawmakers said.

But Trump has defended his slot hosting “SNL,” saying he’ll bring in high viewership.

“We’ll do a good job and we’re going to have a fantastic show,” Trump insisted Tuesday.
