Obama to play Science Channel host this week

President Obama is taking on a new role: TV host.

The commander in chief will be a guest presenter all week long on the Science Channel show “Science Presents DNews.”

{mosads}The guest-hosting duties for Obama, which begin on Monday, will include giving short news updates on different science-related and public health topics, according to Mashable.

“The science initiatives the Obama administration promote continue to make bold breakthroughs and breaking news,” Marc Etkind, general manager of Science Channel, told ITK in a statement. “We are thrilled to have President Obama, a champion of science, present DNews updates to the Science Channel audience.”

It’ll be a science-filled week for the president.

On Wednesday, Obama is poised to host the sixth annual White House Science Fair. The event marks the achievements of student winners from across the country in a variety of science, technology, engineering and math competitions.
