Cruz gets first sit-down with Jimmy Fallon this week
GOP White House hopeful Ted Cruz is making his “Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” debut.
{mosads}The Texas senator will be a guest Thursday on NBC’s long-running show, the network announced Monday.
Cruz’s appearance on the late-night series — which moved production to New York when “Saturday Night Live” alum Fallon took the reins in 2014 — comes just days ahead of the April 19 Republican presidential primary in the Empire State.
Cruz appeared on the “Tonight Show” in 2013 with then-host Jay Leno.
The remaining field of presidential candidates have been hitting the late-night circuit hard during the late primary season. Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders appeared on NBC’s “Late Night With Seth Meyers” last week. Sanders and Cruz were also guests on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last month.
