Fallon finds similarities between Trump, ‘Legally Blonde’ commencement speeches

“Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon on Monday aired a video comparing President Trump’s recent commencement speech at Liberty University to the climactic graduation speech in the movie “Legally Blonde.” 

“Tonight: Trump plagiarized his commencement speech from Elle Woods in Legally Blonde,” the show wrote on its Twitter account, including a mash-up of the two speeches.

{mosads}Among the examples in the video, Reese Witherspoon’s character says, “We take our next steps into the world,” while Trump on Saturday said, “You must go forth into the world.”

In his speech to Liberty University, his first commencement address as president, Trump spoke of faith and its role throughout American history.

Jerry Falwell Jr., the president of Liberty University, praised the address, telling Fox News over the weekend that it was the “best commencement speech Liberty has ever had.”
