Steph Curry jokes about being mentioned in GOP tax bill doc

NBA star Stephen Curry on Thursday joked about his name being included in a document outlining the new GOP tax reform plan, which mentioned his professional earnings in comparison with small business owners.

The document from the House Ways and Means Committee explains how the proposal would differentiate “between the individual wage income of NBA All-Star Stephen Curry and the pass-through business income of Steve’s Bike Shop” regarding loopholes for small businesses.

The Golden State Warriors point guard responded on Twitter:

Curry, a two-time MVP, now earns an NBA-record salary of $34.7 million.

Curry embroiled his team in a dispute with President Trump earlier this year when he encouraged his team not to accept the president’s traditional invitation to the White House after winning the NBA championship.

Trump responded by rescinding the invite.

House Republicans released the long-awaited “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act” on Thursday.
