Netflix cuts ties with Danny Masterson after rape allegations

Netflix on Tuesday reportedly said it had cut ties with Danny Masterson, the “That ’70s Show” actor who has been accused of rape.

“As a result of ongoing discussions, Netflix and the producers have written Danny Masterson out of ′The Ranch,’” a spokesman for the Netflix service told HuffPost.

{mosads}“Yesterday was his last day on the show, and production will resume in early 2018 without him.”

The move by Netflix came after HuffPost reported earlier in the week that a company executive told a woman that senior employees at Netflix do not believe the accusations against Masterson. That woman, according to the report, had accused Masterson of rape, unbeknownst to the executive at the time of the conversation. 

Four women have alleged that Masterson raped them; the actor is currently under criminal investigation.
