Kimmel: Trump goes through Cabinet members like cheeseburgers, hair spray

Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday night joked that President Trump goes through Cabinet members “like he goes through cheeseburgers and Aqua Net” in the wake of a spate of recent exits from his administration.

“Last week he fired his body man, his personal assistant and his Secretary of State Rex Tillerson,” Kimmel said during his show’s monologue.

“If you’re Mike Pompeo, do you even do anything to your new office when you move in? Do you put up pictures or do you just live out of a banker’s box so you can gather yourself when it’s time to go?” he added, referring to Trump’s pick to replace Tillerson at State.

He then played a parody orientation video for incoming Cabinet members, which was intercut with clips of Trump firing people on “The Apprentice.”

“Welcome to President Donald J. Trump’s Cabinet,” the video host said. “Your job here will last anywhere from three days to 12 weeks, depending upon the president’s golf score.”

In addition to Tillerson’s ouster last week, national security adviser H.R. McMaster is reportedly set to depart the Trump administration.

Tillerson’s removal came roughly two weeks after Gary Cohn, Trump’s top economic adviser, resigned amid a dispute with the president over steel and aluminum tariffs. Larry Kudlow has been named Cohn’s replacement.

Many have speculated that Veteran Affairs Secretary David Shulkin could also be on the hot seat following an inspector general report that found he misspent taxpayer money on lavish travel for himself and his wife.

In addition, Shulkin has reportedly sought permission to root out those in his department who have attempted to undermine him.
