Roseanne Barr said that she will be in Israel when the spinoff of her sitcom premieres in October.

“I have an opportunity to go to Israel for a few months and study with my favorite teachers over there, and that’s where I’m going to go and probably move somewhere there and study with my favorite teachers,” Barr said on Rabbi Shmuley Boteach’s podcast, posted Sunday. “I have saved a few pennies and I’m so lucky that I can go.”

{mosads}Barr’s show “Roseanne” was canceled by ABC in May after she posted a racist tweet about Valerie Jarrett, a former aide to President Obama. In July, ABC announced a spinoff to the show that will not include Barr called “The Conners.”

Barr apologized but later said she thought she was fired because she voted for President Trump.

During the podcast, Barr said that some of her friends said she made a “fatal mistake” for apologizing because it set herself up to be attacked further.

“They said you made a fatal mistake and that is you apologized … And once you apologize to them, they never forgive, they just try to beat you down until you don’t exist,” she said.

When Boteach said that Barr apologized with “all your heart and all your being,” Barr replied, “I did.”

Barr told Boteach that she plans to be “neutral” about the spinoff.

“I’m not going to curse it or bless it,” she said. “I’m staying neutral. That’s what I do. I’m staying neutral. I’m staying away from it.”

Former “Roseanne” co-star John Goodman said last week that Barr’s character will be killed off in “The Conners.”
