Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) holds a press conference to discuss the expulsion resolution against him outside the Capitol in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, November 30, 2023.

Former Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) recently revealed his favorite Taylor Swift song is “I Knew You Were Trouble,” and sang a snippet of the song in an apparent Cameo video.

In the purported Cameo video, posted to X, formerly Twitter, Santos said, “My favorite TS song is definitely going to be ‘Trouble,'” an apparent reference to Swift’s hit song, “I Knew You Were Trouble.”

Santos then sang some of the lyrics to the song, “I knew you were trouble when you walked in,” and then said, “That’s me…bye!” before the video ended.

Santos launched a profile Monday on Cameo, an online platform where customers can request holiday messages, a pep talk, roasts, birthday wishes and more from various public figures.

His profile, where he calls himself a “Former congressional ‘Icon,'” garnered wide attention on social media this week, with his videos rising in price in just hours due to high demands.

Santos’s Cameo gig follows his historic expulsion from Congress last week, after the House Ethics Committee issued a scathing report detailing “substantial evidence” against Santos. Last week’s 311-114-2 expulsion vote in the House came after two previous expulsion attempts that failed earlier this year.

Santos faces 23 federal criminal charges over allegedly misleading donors, inflating campaign finance reports, charging donors’ credit cards without authorization and misrepresenting his finances to the public and government agencies.
