Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner treat reporters during Jewish holiday of Purim

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are sharing some holiday pastries with the press — gifting White House reporters with hamantaschen.

The triangular fruit- and chocolate-filled goodies are a traditional treat during the Jewish holiday of Purim, which begins March 20.

On Wednesday, Trump and Kushner, both advisers to Ivanka Trump’s father President Trump, left a bag of hamantaschen for journalists, according to CNN’s Betsy Klein. ITK hears the baked goods were put in a break area for journalists in the West Wing.

Ivanka Trump posted on Instagram earlier this month an image of her three young children crafting some Purim desserts, writing, “Our hamantaschen game is on point this year!”

The hamantaschen gift from Trump and Kushner’s family came a day after the president blasted “fake news” as the “absolute enemy of the people.”
