Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’s homes raided by Homeland Security

The Los Angeles and Miami homes of renowned musician and producer Sean “Diddy” Combs were raided by authorities as part of a federal investigation, officials said.

The action is related to a sex trafficking probe in New York, The Associated Press reports, citing officials who are not authorized to speak publicly about details of the investigation. It is unclear whether Combs was the target of the investigation.

His sprawling Holmby Hills property in Los Angeles was swarmed with federal and local law enforcement and helicopters Sunday. The musician’s Miami home was also raided, the Department of Homeland Security said.

“Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners. We will provide further information as it becomes available,” the department said in a statement.

The raids come after Combs has been accused of misconduct by five people since November, including R&B musician Cassie, who alleged in a lawsuit that Combs beat and raped her during their years-long relationship. The suit was settled out of court.

A New York music producer also accused Combs of sexual misconduct in December, and a woman said Combs and two other men raped her in a New York City studio when she was 17 years old in 2003.

Two other women said they were victims of Combs: One woman said Combs drugged and sexually assaulted her after a date, and a second accused combs and R&B singer Aaron Hall of sexually assaulting and beating her and a friend. Both alleged incidents occurred in 1991.

Combs denied responsibility in each case, though he stepped down as the head of his media company Revolt in November. Nearly 20 companies also cut ties with Combs over the allegations.
