Shark Tank star Kevin O’Leary was involved in a boat crash in Canada this week that resulted in two deaths, Ontario Provincial Police said Wednesday.

The accident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday on Lake Joseph, Ontario Provincial Police told Global News

Police said two people died from injuries relating to the crash, including a 64-year-old Florida man who was killed instantly and a 48-year-old Ontario woman who died Wednesday because of her injuries, The New York Times reported.{mosads}

Police would not comment on “which vessel hit which vessel,” as an investigation is underway.

In a statement to NBC News, O’Leary, an entrepreneur from Canada, said he was a passenger in a boat involved in the crash.

O’Leary owns the boat, but his spokesperson told NBC News that O’Leary’s wife was driving at the time. The spokesperson told the outlet that O’Leary’s wife was administered a DUI test and passed.

“On late Saturday night, I was a passenger in a boat that was involved in a tragic collision with another watercraft that had no navigation lights on and then fled the scene,” O’Leary said in the statement.

He said he was “devastated” and sent his “heartfelt prayers and condolences” the victims and their families.

“Out of respect for the victims’ families and to fully support the ongoing investigation I feel it is inappropriate to make further comments at this time,” he added.

O’Leary’s spokesperson said a third person on O’Leary’s boat was injured and sent to the hospital for stitches but has since been released.

Ontario Provincial Police said both boats were taken for inspection.
