Kellyanne Conway, David Plouffe launching ‘The Campaign Managers’ podcast

A pair of campaign managers for former Presidents Trump and Obama are teaming up for an across-the-aisle podcast that promises to “engage rather than enrage” while diving into the 2024 White House race.

Kellyanne Conway, who headed up Trump’s 2016 campaign, and David Plouffe, who steered Obama’s 2008 White House bid, will join forces for “The Campaign Managers,” podcast platform PodcastOne announced Monday.

The weekly show will “feature fierce discussions between the two hosts and their guests” and “delve deep into the complexities of the 2024 election.”

Conway teased on social media that the podcast will be a chance to share her and Plouffe’s “first-hand experiences running the campaigns of history-making presidential candidates.”

She and Plouffe, Conway said in a statement, “have been in the room where it happens, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with unique, historic candidates who defied the critics, exceeded expectations, won the presidency, and governed.”

“The two of us have fierce disagreements on issues and who we want to win this race,” Plouffe said in a statement about the podcast.

“But we agree on what it takes to get to 270 electoral votes. We think it’s important to have a place where audiences can get the full picture of where the race stands and how it could change and will assess those not wearing the blue and red shirts of our respective parties but as practitioners who have led successful campaigns for the White House,” he said.

“The Campaign Managers” is poised to premiere on May 22.
