Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams and Sandra Bullock are among the female celebrities voters would be most likely to support if they made a political run, according to a new poll.
Nearly 30 percent of those surveyed in the Suffolk University/USA Today poll released Wednesday said they would be “more likely” to support former talk show host Winfrey and “Speed” star Bullock if the two famed faces traded Hollywood for politics.
Another 27 percent said they would hypothetically back a political bid from tennis champ Williams.
A quarter of respondents said EGOT winner Viola Davis could be a political pick, while “Pretty Woman” actor Julia Roberts garnered support from 24 percent and Tina Fey came in at 23 percent.
While she’s sold out concerts worldwide with her “The Eras Tour” and President Biden’s reelection campaign is reportedly aiming to land her endorsement, Taylor Swift may want to stick to penning smash hits — 15 percent of those polled said they’d be more likely to support the 34-year-old singing sensation if she ran for public office, while 72 percent said they’d be less likely. Another 10 percent said they were undecided, and 2 percent indicated that they’d never heard of the “Fortnight” singer.
Thirteen percent of those surveyed said they were likely to root for Beyoncé if the songstress dipped her toes in the political waters, and 22 percent said they’d probably go to the ballot box for “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg.
Some of the personalities who received the least political support among those polled included reality TV stars Kim Kardashian and Lisa Vanderpump, each with 2 percent, former Olympian-turned-Fox News contributor Caitlyn Jenner at 6 percent, and singer Miley Cyrus with 8 percent.
The survey was conducted April 30 to May 1, with a sample of 1,000 registered voters and a margin of error of 3.1 percentage points.
