Former Obama speechwriter and “Pod Save America” co-host Jon Lovett will be a cast member on the next season of the CBS reality show “Survivor,” CBS confirmed to The Hill on Thursday.

“I have no outdoor skills,” Lovett says in a trailer for the next season of the popular reality show that aired Wednesday night, according to CBS. “What am I doing here? I went camping as a Cub Scout. I threw up and went home.”

Lovett’s “Pod Save America” co-host, Jon Favreau, appeared to poke fun at his colleague being on the show in a Wednesday post on the social platform X.

“What did I tell you?” Favreau said the post in response to the trailer. “Eat Pray Lovett.”

The company behind “Pod Save America,” Crooked Media, which Lovett co-founded, also responded to the trailer with a post on X of their own Wednesday.

“So, this is how you tell us…” the post reads.

Crooked Media later confirmed the casting to The Hill.
