Ronan Farrow nominated for National Book Critics Circle award
Ronan Farrow is a finalist for the National Book Critic Circle’s annual awards for his “Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators,” the board announced.
Farrow is one of five finalists for the autobiography category for his book, which tracks his reporting on the allegations of sexual assault against former film producer Harvey Weinstein. Farrow has previously won a Pulitzer Prize and George Polk Award for his reporting on the allegations, which Weinstein has denied.
“Know My Name: A Memoir” by Chanel Miller, about the author’s sexual assault by Stanford University student Brock Turner, is also a finalist in the category.
“Five Days Gone: The Mystery of My Mother’s Disappearance as a Child” by Laura Cumming, “Sounds Like Titanic: A Memoir” by Jessica Chiccehitto and “Good Talk: A Memoir in Conversations” by Mira Jacob, round out the autobiography finalists.
The National Book Critic Circle also announced finalists in the biography, criticism, fiction, nonfiction and poetry categories.
Winners will be announced at a celebration on March 12 in New York.
