Grammy-award winning artist Beyoncé Knowles-Carter will donate $2.5 million through her foundation to help with fire relief in the Los Angeles area.

The BeyGood Foundation announced on Sunday its L.A. Fire Relief Fund, which was started in response to the devastation sweeping across the region.

“Los Angeles we stand with you,” the foundation posted on Instagram. “The fund is earmarked to aid families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who lost their homes, and to churches and community centers to address the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires.”

The wildfires, which began Jan. 7, have left a trail of destruction. At least 24 people have been killed.

High winds have caused the fires to spread, burning down thousands of homes and other buildings, including Knowles-Carter’s mother’s Malibu bungalow.

“God Bless all the brave men and women in our fire department who risked their lives in dangerous conditions,” Tina Knowles said in an Instagram post sharing the loss of her home.

“To the people who lost their homes and belongings, I can only imagine how it feels to lose properties and everything you worked so hard and sacrificed so much to own! My heart and deep prayers go out to all of you.”

Knowles-Carter isn’t the first celebrity to send aid to those affected by the fires. Actress Halle Berry has said donated her “entire closet” to +Coop, a home goods store in Beverly Hills.

Jamie Lee Curtis has also allocated funds to relief efforts, posting on Instagram that she has donated $1 million and is in communication with Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D) and Sen. Adam Schiff (D) to help determine where the funds are most needed.
