After yearlong absence, ex-congressman makes Twitter return
Former Rep. Trey Radel is back on Twitter, after nearly one year of social media silence.
The Florida Republican, once a prolific tweeter who resigned from Congress earlier this year after a cocaine bust last December, wrote on Christmas Day:
From my family to yours, Merry Christmas! Thank you for your love & support. Onward.

{mosads}Radel’s Twitter profile says simply, “Life has ups. Life has downs. Hang on tight, especially to your sense of humor.” The 38-year-old ex-congressman, who entered a rehab facility following his guilty plea, has more than 7,700 followers. He hadn’t tweeted since New Year’s Day 2014.
The former TV anchor and self-described “hip hop conservative” once tweeted out his review of an album by rapper Jay Z in a series of Twitter messages.
