James Franco endorses Clinton in ‘most interesting woman in the world’ ad
Actor James Franco calls Hillary Clinton the “most interesting woman in the world” in a new ad campaign launched by groups supporting the Democratic presidential nominee.
{mosads}“The smartest guy in the room is always her,” Franco says in a play on the popular Dos Equis beer commercials featuring “the most interesting man in the world.”
“Her Secret Service codename is Hermione, because she’s a f—ing wizard,” Franco adds, in a nod to the Harry Potter universe.
Pro-Clinton super PAC Priorities USA, EMILY’s List and Schlep Labs teamed up on the campaign, which includes a website — www.shesthemostinterestingwoman.com — that features memes about Clinton and helps users find the nearest polling site.
“Hillary Clinton has led an amazing life; it is not a stretch to describe her as ‘the most interesting woman in the world,’” Franco said in a statement about his endorsement.
I don’t usually endorse candidates, but when I do they’re extraordinary #MostInterestingWoman https://t.co/eA317EutiD

“I got involved in this project because I wanted more people, particularly younger people, to get to know an extraordinary woman who has, through a lifetime a work, earned our trust and support.”
The ad will appear on social media in the battleground states of Florida, New Hampshire, Nevada, Pennsylvania and North Carolina. The hashtag #mostinterestingwoman was trending on Twitter in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday afternoon.
