Judd Apatow urges Georgia voters to get rid of Doug Collins after ‘terrorists’ comment
Comedian Judd Apatow is urging his fans in Georgia to register to vote and support a challenger to Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.).
In a tweet late Wednesday, Apatow slammed Collins for suggesting that Democrats in the House and Senate were “mourn[ing]” the death of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani in a U.S. drone strike.
“We see that they mourn Soleimani more than they mourn our Gold Star families,” Collins said on Fox Business Network’s “Lou Dobbs Tonight.”
Democrats are “in love with terrorists,” Collins added.

Numerous Republicans have echoed Collins’s attacks in recent days over Democratic lawmakers’ opposition to President Trump’s decision to carry out the strike against Soleimani, which many critics have argued went around Congress’s power to declare war.
“You don’t see anyone standing up for Iran. You’re not hearing any of the Gulf members. You’re not hearing China. You’re not hearing Russia. The only ones that are mourning the loss of Soleimani are our Democrat leadership and our Democrat presidential candidates,” former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley told Fox News earlier this week.
“I’m a little tired of this hero worship of whoever the president has taken out,” White House counselor Kellyanne Conway said in a separate interview this week.
