Bill Clinton, James Patterson team up for another book, ‘The President’s Daughter’
Former President Clinton and author James Patterson are joining together again to write another novel.
The publishers said the novel, “The President’s Daughter,” is set to be released in June 2021, according to The Associated Press.
The novel will be a joint release by Alfred A. Knopf, which has released other Clinton works, as well as Little, Brown and Company, which has long published Patterson’s novels, according to the AP.
The publishers had joined together to release Patterson and Clinton’s first book, “The President is Missing,” which was published in 2018.
“I never imagined I’d be writing a book with a master storyteller like Jim, much less two,” Clinton said in a statement, according to AP. “I was grateful for the success of the first book, and I believe readers will enjoy reading ‘The President’s Daughter’ as much as I’m enjoying working on it.”
Patterson added that working with Clinton “has been a highlight of my career” and he is “thrilled to have the chance to write with him again.”
The novel is a stand-alone and not a sequel to the first joint book Patterson and Clinton released. Publishers said the story follows a former president of the United States whose daughter is kidnapped, according to the AP.
