CNN claps back at Kirstie Alley: ‘You’re welcome to change the channel’
CNN responded to Kirstie Alley’s attacks by inviting her to get her news from other sources if she’s unsatisfied with their reporting.
“Kirstie, you are welcome to change the channel – just like countless viewers did every time ‘Veronica’s Closet’ came on TV,” CNN tweeted, referencing the sitcom Alley starred in from 1997 to 2000. “But don’t downplay the loss of nearly 230K American lives. And please, wear a mask.”

CNN’s retort came after the actress criticized them in a series tweets, during which she accused the cable news network of controlling viewers through fear, among other comments.
I now Know why my personal friends who walk around in SHEER TERROR of contracting Covid are simply CNN viewers! I decided to watch CNN myself to get a their viewpoint and oh my God DID I EVER!!!! IF YOU TOO WANT TO LIVE IN TERROR WATCH CNN!!

Alley took to Twitter again after seeing CNN’s tweet, writing, “Meow …if only you paid as much attention to Joe Biden’s alleged corrupt business dealings as a TV show that was rated top ten in 1997….. guess you got that wrong too.”

Alley, who voted for Trump in 2016, has been vocal about her endorsement of the president’s reelection and distaste for his Democratic opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden.
