John Legend calls for more coronavirus relief over images of long line for food bank
John Legend is calling on Congress to provide “immediate cash relief” to Americans amid the coronavirus pandemic, saying that “this is an emergency.”
The “All of Me” singer shared a video with his nearly 14 million Twitter followers on Tuesday showing numerous vehicles forming long lines waiting to collect groceries from a Dallas food bank ahead of Thanksgiving.

The 41-year-old entertainer — a vocal critic of President Trump — urged Americans to push lawmakers for action:

Legend’s remarks came a day after President-elect Joe Biden pressed Congress to pass a COVID-19 relief package, touting legislation House Democrats passed earlier this year that is opposed by Republicans.
