The Foo Fighters say they’re postponing a concert scheduled for this week in Los Angeles after someone “within the Foo Fighters organization” tested positive for COVID-19.

The band released a statement on Wednesday announcing the news, saying Saturday’s show at The Forum would be shifted to a later date.

“Despite having made every effort to follow CDC Covid protocols and local laws, there has been a confirmed Covid-19 case within the Foo Fighters organization,” the musicians said.

The decision to postpone the concert was made “out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety of the band, crew and most of all the fans,” according to the group. The announcement didn’t indicate who had tested positive.

Foo Fighters made headlines last month as the first performers to take the stage at Madison Square Garden in New York since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

The band’s recent shows have been targeted by anti-vaccination protesters, who have railed against COVID-19 vaccine mandates at music venues.

Earlier this year, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl teamed up with Mick Jagger for a pandemic-themed song, “Easy Sleazy,” which took aim at vaccine misinformation.
